First stop was Bang Pa-In Palace, the royal familys summer palace.
Sai was kind enough to take us round and tell us about the different buildings.
Sai was kind enough to take us round and tell us about the different buildings.
This is the Ho Withun Thasana from which you can see the the entire palace grounds.
Your everyday family of garden elephants, there were many bush creatures around the grounds.
this is Sai and U they were kind enough to show us around.
Deacons House
Nice veiw of the Phra Thinang Wehart Chamrun, this is a chinese style mansion, this houses the Kings Throne.
We moved on from the Bang Pa-In Palace to go to the Wat Panan Choeng Temple ( Wat means Temple in Thai), its a colourful place and houses an enormous Buddah Statue.
Beardo
Happiest Buddah (god of money)
This is the best picture we could get of the massive buddah statue its is still covered in scafolding as it is not quite finished, but for an example of the size one of its fingers is the same size as Deacon.
These little archways cover the walls of the temple and each one has a little smiling buddah :)
Money Trees do exsist
Cheeky lion statue
'I am a God'
We them moved on to the last location but we didn't catch the name but it was amazing to see a more traditional place of prayer
Reclining buddah, just chilling out, this buddah was also massive
Huge main tower
It was a little bit of a walk to the top.
And Deacon struggled a bit.
View from the top.
Fancy a climb
It was really good to see some more traditional parts of thailand. Before we went home we ate at a very hidden away thai restaurant that overlooked the river, it was delicious but we were way too concentrated on the food to take any pictures.
Hope you enjoyed the post :)
Peace
